CoCAP Terms of Service

Welcome to CoCAP ("the App", "we", "us", "our"), a co-parenting workspace. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the App and its associated services. By creating an account or using the App you agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to form a binding contract to create a CoCAP account. By using the App you represent that you meet these requirements.
2. Your account
You are responsible for the activity that occurs under your account. Keep your login credentials confidential and notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access. We may suspend or terminate accounts that are used to violate these Terms or that are inactive for an extended period.
3. Subscriptions and billing
CoCAP offers auto-renewable subscriptions. Subscription length, price, and renewal terms are displayed at the point of purchase and managed through your platform store account (Apple App Store or Google Play). Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your platform store account settings. Refund eligibility is governed by the platform store's policies.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- upload content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, or that infringes another person's rights;
- use the App to harass, threaten, or coerce a co-parent or any other person;
- attempt to access another user's account or data without authorization;
- reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with the operation of the App.
We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these rules.
5. Your content
You retain ownership of the records, photos, messages, and other content you upload ("Your Content"). You grant CoCAP a limited license to store and process Your Content to provide the App to you and your co-parent. Co-parents linked to your account can see content you share with them. We do not sell Your Content.
6. Co-parenting context
CoCAP is a tool to help co-parents communicate and track shared responsibilities. It is not a substitute for legal advice, mediation, mental-health treatment, or court proceedings. Records exported from CoCAP may be used at your discretion in legal proceedings; their admissibility is not guaranteed.
7. Account deletion
You may permanently delete your account at any time from the in-app Profile screen. Deletion removes your personal records, push tokens, and authentication credentials. Where data is shared with a co-parent (children profiles, messages), we may transfer ownership of shared records to the co-parent or anonymize references to you, in line with our Privacy Policy.
8. Disclaimers
The App is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CoCAP will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App. Our total aggregate liability for direct damages is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be surfaced in the App; continued use after a change means you accept the new Terms. The current version is shown in your Profile.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by applicable law, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
